Welcome to my website! I appreciate your giving me the opportunity to be of help to you.   Below I have outlined what counseling and consultation services are available.

Many people adapt to life’s challenges using personal resources, friends and family, or religious and spiritual faith. However, sometimes life events can occur or accumulate in a way in which a skilled mental health professional can be useful for guidance, support, and healing.

Professional counseling might help you develop a more useful understanding of problems, acquire more effective ways of responding to old issues, learn how to develop more satisfying relationships, and/or recover from traumatic experiences.

I welcome the opportunity to work with those who seek to:

• Recover from trauma, tragedy, or unhealed childhood issues
• Cope with loss, difficult life transitions, and stress
• Rebuild intimacy, trust, and hope in relationships

I have been using EMDR extensively since 1998, have been an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant and Certified Therapist since 2004, and have attended many EMDR-specialty workshops and conferences. I provide both individual and group consultation for EMDR therapists who want to refine and expand their knowledge and skills. My commitment is always to create a safe, stimulating, and worthwhile consultation experience in order to build more expertise and confidence in using EMDR with your clients.

Goals and topics for consultation are usually flexible but what has seemed to be most helpful has been a balance of both didactic and experiential (e.g., case consultation, protocols and procedures for specialized populations; role play). Group members are typically asked to commit to a total of 5 monthly or semi-monthly sessions and the cost varies depending upon location, length of meetings, and the total number of group members. Individual rates are available upon request.

Consultation is also available to other front-line professionals (e.g., physicians, lawyers, school counselors, teachers, business managers) for support and practical information to enhance your effectiveness with challenging patients, clients, students, etc.
